APS Bushings - Longboard 0.6"

SKU: ACON97
Regular price $8.99

Description

The APS compound is very lively, which offers high rebound with lots of control and lean. This formula does not change much when you tighten the kingpin nut past snug (meaning you are no longer able to rotate the bushing by hand).

Keep in mind that the rounded edge goes towards the hanger of the skateboard truck and fits snugly into the bushing seat.

Canon and Magnum are designed for Paris Trucks.

I was skeptical whether bushings would make a difference, but was i wrong. The rebound on these bushings are amazing. No wonder everyone in the ldp community rave about them.

Riptide Aps Bushings are the best in the world for Long Distance skating. They have the rebound we need to pump hard and the durability is impressive. I use and recommend RIptide since 2011.

130lb - 80a/87.5a for LDP, 87.5a/90a for DH

Complex combinations: APS 80a canon RS+Krank 84a bs/Krank 87 Canon rs/fatcone bs

Second is what I run on the SDS light and it gets that gangster lean with insane rebound. I initially had all APS but the Kranks prevented wheelbite without adding too much stiffness

Complex DH for Bear Gen 6: Magnum or fatcone front 87.5 rs,90bs/ rear 90rs,92.5bs but I would still use Krank if possible

APS cones are still my favorite front truck setup for slalom.
Fast turn initiation, smooth transitions, and very predictable rebound.
I haven’t found another formula that feels as alive and controllable.

Dialed in my CX

It’s funny I’ve ridden a skateboard for 50 years and only in the last three really thought about bushings. I now have riptide on just about every set up I own. My new surf Skate with the CX is my favorite skateboard ever. !!!
I wish you guys would make sexy risers and on that note I keep thinking you need to do some Superballs!!

Amazing

I'm around 50 years old, new to horizontal riding, and have been skateboarding for half a year.
I don't have any experience or physical ability, but this product is fun because it's easy to turn and pump while it's stable.

RipTide bushings for slalom

Every order I get from RipTide is perfect and fast getting to me. There is always a little note from Tracey of appreciation and promoting stoke in my further skate adventures. Thank you for making such great products!!!

Best of the best

Experimenting with most major company's bushings is a drag. Not so with riptide. . . . the response, the rebound, and the flow is a joy!

Always happy with my Riptide purchases!

As always, great product and the best customer service. Using the 87. 5 FatCone board side on my Hurricane, gives me the extra resistance I was looking for at the end of the pump and a great rebound.

From hate to love

I recently bought a new deck for pumping. Kinda new to this. I didn't know exactly what was wrong, but I hated riding it, and fiddled with angles with minor satisfaction. I ended up ordering new bushings in a few durometers from 85 down to 67. Actually probably should have got the 65 and 60 as well. Barrels and cones. Then I talked to Brad, and got some good info on proper tightening. Found out the range is barely able to move bushing with finger to 2 full turns from there. APS. From there I just started experimenting with what I received, which was very quick. 2 days. And now, though not totally there, the board has come alive and I love love love it now so much. What a difference a little polyurethane can make. Highly recommend experimenting with bushings, especially if your doing long distance pumping. I just finished a nice 4 mile ride, and if it wasn't dark would go another 4 for sure. Getting the right set up creates an almost perpetual metronome rhythm under your feet. It's really great. Deck is Subsonic century 40. Trucks are Poppy's. Bushings need to be bored out to about 0. 60" to a depth of about 0. 10" to clear the spherical bearing. Easy with a dremel, or just a 5/8th" countersink bit really.

APS Barrel/Chubby Combos w/ Calibber II Pivot Cups

I ordered a variety of APS Barrel/Chubby bushings and two replacement 96a pivot cups for my Caliber II trucks. They work just as described - more stable and more turnable. Still testing out combos but don't forget to order some extra washer types (flat/cup) to dial things in even more!!! :v::mask:

Thanks Todd! I'm glad you were able to dial in your setup - and you're absolutely right, trying out both the cupped & the flat washers is one of the easiest ways to tweak your ride to suit your personal style ;)
