I have them in four set ups. If you ride your trucks down to the axle, the pivot cups are the first thing to go. I still can’t understand why the truck companies make higher quality options

I bought these on a whim because I hear about them in the longboarding world. Finally put them on and WOW. Super smooth. I can run my Thunder team hollow trucks looser and it feels fluid and more supportive (somehow?). I actually noticed a difference right away which I did not expect. For the price, definitely worth it.

I was surprised at just how much smoother these made my trucks. The difference really is night and day. These are an incredibly effective upgrade. Do yourself a huge favor and drop these in your trucks!

I've put about 10 solid hours of hard street and park skating on these pivot cups and they are super quiet and super smooth. I will likely always replace my stock pivot cups with these in the future. As a bonus, they look great matching my setup!

I bought one pair of the Indy pivot cups, and I bought two pairs of Thunder pivot cups. (one blue, one green).
The light blue ones look rad on my Thunders, and they took 99% of the squeak away. They turn good, they’re still responsive, and honestly, “are they worth it?” I’d say If you’re into skate needing out like I am, I personally love to just dork around and finely tune my board/try different stuff. The pivot cups are smooth, responsive, and quiet, so if that sounds like something you’re into, do it.

I've been skating for a while now, and I never thought the pivot cups would have such an impact on my skateboard. I figured, I got a good deck, bearings, wheels, bushings, let's go! But as I got better I started paying attention to what my skateboard was doing and not doing. The one thing that was always the problem. The pivot cups. They always broke on me and man, the little noise they made. At times I felt I was on a little sailing boat haha!

Riptide! You got me having so much fun now. Thank you Tracey for the help. The Lurpiv trucks are perfect now with the Indy pivot cups. The fit is perfect. All my set ups have these now. So rad!

Much better rebound material in these pivot cups than the stocks. My stock cups were basically useless compared to these in shock absorption and turning smoothly mainly because of my weight being heavier (185lbs. ) Glad I switched just before my old cups were going to rip anyways. Worth the money and will be buying new pivot cups with every truck I buy from this website:)

Wanted to upgrade the stock pivot cups in my Dinghy Classic. These eliminated the dreaded squeaks and provided a nice smooth linear feel. Adds a bit of color, too!

Who would have ever thought that something as small an item would have such a big impact!! My board now carves like butter!! Love them!!

I have ridden two sets in one pair of trucks so far. From the beginning they are way better than the stock ace pivot cup and significantly improve the feel of the ride. The truck almost feels broken in how it turns and the time it took to actually be broken in is way faster than how long it takes with stock pivot cups. On both sets however the top of the pivot cup on the front truck only cracks. This could be due to how loose the truck is and it may happen on the same side but I’m not completely sure. In any case it didn’t affect the turn because the hanger is still seated properly and the crack is high enough in the cup that it hasn’t changed the way the truck reacts. I really like these pivot cups compared to the stock, I just wish they didn’t crack so fast as I’m worried how long it will last. I replaced the first set as a precaution and didn’t give it the time to see if it would last or blow out. The picture of the pivot cup in the truck is the newer set. The one in my hand is from the first set I rode.

I found out about riptide in 2018. The truth is these Skate trucks are lasting longer and if you keep up and check the pivot cups you will be fine. . been skating my thunders for 3 years with this set up . . you may notice my thunders look weird lol . Any way. . if the pivot cup rips and it’s metal on metal . . that’s kinda it. . the trucks don’t feel right . . you could sand down the destroyed pivot cup nipple but just skate these and they last long like 1 year or slightly less if your able to skate everyday. . so when you skate loose trucks . . the hangers pivot nipple or w. e you call it is putting a lot of stress on the pivot cup . . so I found these and gave it a shot and yea I just keep and eye on them . . I will tell you . . I’ll only check my bushing . . when I get a new board . . so every 3-4 decks I’ll rip apart the trucks and check . . Because once The perfect cup where is out and it’s metal on metal it will totally destroy the way the trucks work. These pivot cups for one set is $13 and I will tell you I just ordered two sets and as of right now this is probably my sixth or seventh pair of Riptide pivot cup Bushing‘s. . As an experiment don’t ever change your private clubs in your old trucks and skate your truck super loose do lots of high Ally’s landing into a hard strong manual and you will know what I’m talking about those trucks will never be the same when the OEM plastics pivot cup breaks. . these are Made of about the same material as skateboarding Bushing’s so when you get them you can take a little bite and they will flex yes I said a little bite they are clean or wash them off put them in your mouth and take a nibble that’s how you can says the Doralmade of about the same material as skateboarding bushings so when you get them you can take a little bite and they will flex,

I love Independent Stage 11s. I love the turning radius and response, the fact that they come in lighter variants now (hollow, titanium), the forged baseplates are awesome on the lighter models, and even the new bushings are, in my opinion, better than the older stages. The one weakness is the pivot cups. . . they are terrible! They break easily, or wear out prematurely, and are really noisy. These Riptide Indy Pivot Cups solve all those issues and, while not cheap, are worth every penny for the performance increase. I really like the newer "cracked ice" color variant, as well. I ordered a couple of sets and not only was shipping quick, there was a hand-written note on the invoice thanking me for my order. I'm really glad Riptide exists to fill an important niche within the skate industry.
