Description
Description
Performance Under Pressure - The KranK Formula has quite a bit of adjustability. You can tighten the kingpin nut up to two full turns after snug to 'harden' or 'loosen' the feel of the durometer.
Keep in mind that the rounded edge typically goes towards the hanger of the skateboard truck and should fit snugly into the bushing seat. If there is some slop, you can try flipping the bushing over so that the shaper edge is against the hanger. This will often remove most of the slop for larger bushing seats.
You can combine shapes to customize the feel of your board.

This + 2 of the big washers and the .4 street cone also in krank is working awesome on my af1 setup. 2 washers + the .5 got within .03 of stock bottom + cup washer. 1 washer was a little short. I went with 96 duro and works well for me, weighing 220-ish right now.
Made my board more manageable. My meepo voyager has weird trucks and these were slightly smaller so I have To use small washers mix and match and I’m still trying to figure out the right ratio. One of my bushings broke but kinda my fault from tightening ig.
I put the riptide soft bushings in all my Indy trucks. I’ve tried every brand of bushings, but the riptides are the best!! They immediately feel like broken in bushings & last long. I skate my trucks super loose & they are the best for that!! I also use their pivot cups in all my trucks too!! And, the people that run Riptide are super nice & informative!!!!
Would buy again! Work great and will get stiffer set next time to try out and have some verity.
Replaced the stock cone and barrels with the 96a and 94a krank barrels. Board is significantly better than before.
Brad and Tracey know their stuff! This will surprise no one who has connected with RipTide, of course.
I needed to adjust my freeriding setups and wasn't sure how to get the ride I needed. I was looking for more rebound and responsiveness from the front trucks and more stability in the rear. I also wanted to keep the carviness that comes with my boards (Zenit Marble and Pantheon Gaia) without losing the ability to hit higher speeds under control.
Brad set me up with KranK Street Barrels and Canons on the front, and Magnums in the rear (all 87a). It changed the whole ride, for the better! More rebound and flex, which simply made the ride more fun for me. The carvy ride actually improved, to the point where I threw a small riser in front because of how much more turn I got.
I've tried these are two sizes of Paris V3 RKPs. They're now the default bushings setup in any ride that I'm taking on a hill. Brad was right on point, per usual!
Switching to 87a Krank street bushings and 96a pivot cups was like spreading sweet delicious buttercream all over my Polar Bear trucks. The action is smooth, responsive, quiet, and carves like a sexy dream. I love how easy it is to fine tune the setup using the kingpin nut. I'm Hooked on Krank and won't skate any other bushing. Let it Rip!
Setup:
Board: Landyachtz Dinghy Blunt
Front: Polar Bear 105mm, Krank 87a short cone (roadside), Krank 87a fatcone (boardside)
Rear: Polar Bear 130mm, Krank 87a short cone (roadside), Krank 87a chubby (boardside)
Wheels: Fatty Hawgz 63mmm, 87a
Ordered a set of Street Barrel and Short Cones for my Pantheon Ember and they've been awesome. Super responsive and carvy! Going Riptide for all my bushings from here on out. Oh and my order came with a lovely handwritten note, top notch service!
Tracey helped me to make the best choice for my Sidewinders. Pumping and surfing much better now!
Great bushings, stop me from getting wheelbite and have great rebound
Chubs are the best way to have more stability without sacrificing turn. Get you some!

I've never skated Indys that felt better than the way mine do, now

Great
Their bushings and pivot cups are the best out there, and their customer support is even better. Any time I've ever had to contact them, Tracey responds quickly.
They also accommodate my requests for split duro orders, etc as a matter of course, never feel like I'm putting them out.

I'm 200 over lbs and these bushings are great for me to get max turn and very little wheelbite

Ok, so I read some reviews and reached out to Riptide (unfortunately, I couldn't wait the 24 hours for their response and jumped the gun anyhow, haha!) and ordered up a set of KranK street barrel 96a (boardside) paired with KranK short street cone 93a (rodeside) for my Yow Dark Pukas. I also picked up the pivot cups. Holy crap! Before this, I was struggling to pump a full circuit in my driveway (for reference it's 175' rectangle and 50/50 of smooth concrete and medium/rough asphalt). With two small push offs, I nailed the full circuit without issue, not even having to pump around the turns as I had enough speed to just do wide carves. My wife even remarked, "Dang, you're quick!" I had to explain it wasn't a difference in skill or practice, but the new setup. Super stoked!
Can't wait to see with my new wheels and bearings, but glad I started with bushings/pivot cups as my first upgrade. Totally recommended!

Best bushings on the market and customer service is top notch with riptide. They care about their customers needs and stand by their product. Been on a bushing search for over a year of crushing them, Brad explained to me what I needed in a brief email and the rest is history.
