Choosing a Formula

Choosing a Formula

*Please note that this article is more geared towards skateboarding - we recommend reading this in addition to Cushion Formulas if you are a roller skater.*

Deciding which of our formulas (also referred to as compounds) to choose from will vary based on your riding style and needs! We offer 3 unique formulas - APS, KranK and WFB - to help riders of all disciplines achieve the responsiveness they need.

One of the first things to consider when choosing a formula is what durometer range you are looking for, which is largely determined by your weight. Our KranK formula only goes down to 84a and rides a bit harder than our other compounds. If you are a very lightweight rider or are looking for softer bushings, APS or WFB might be more suitable for you. The Durometer page also has weight charts (for skateboard) - you can use these to give you an idea of what durometer range might work for you.

As a general rule of thumb, the APS formula is a great place to start if you're new to changing your bushings. It is very lively, turns more than the same durometer of other brands, and will feel much more responsive than stock bushings. APS has a high rebound - so it gives some energy back to you when you come out of a turn (you can think of rebound similar to how a rubber ball will bounce back up to your hand). APS is great for most disciplines
