Quirin Ilmer - Austria
My name is Quirin Ilmer & I was born and raised in Austria. I started skating at the age of 18, just for cruising around town.
Until I was 21, I was well on my way to being a Professional Snowboard Racer - but at the end I had more injuries than victories, so I quit the sport and from that moment on I just wanted to have fun. Truly, that's why I really got into skating and that's the real motivation that drives me - FUN!
2014 was my first Race Season and I attended The German Downhill League where I finished 2nd Overall after 5 races, right behind Sebastian Hertler!
In 2015 I competed in my first IDF Eurotour. I was hoping to finish in the top 10 for the Euro ranking, but to become an IDF European Champion wasn't even possible in my dreams then - but now it is indeed real and it feels fantastic.
I don't know what the future will bring, but I'm hoping it will include a lot of fun, meeting new people and spreading the spirit of skating all over the world!
